Set Up a Facility

Create the facility record

1. Open Facility and click New Facility.
2. Enter the facility name, address, and operating details, then save.
3. Open the facility detail page so you can finish the warehouse setup.

Build the storage map

Set up the locations your warehouse team will use for receiving, putaway, and retrieval.

1. Add storage locations directly in the facility detail view or use the location upload flow for a large setup.
2. Confirm the codes match the naming convention your team will use on the floor.
3. Set any default free-day or operational defaults required by the facility.

Create reusable tasks

Task templates let received shipments inherit the operational work your team expects.

1. Go to Facility > Task Manager.
2. Create task templates for standard steps such as inspection, relabeling, or dispatch prep.
3. Save the template so it can be attached consistently during receiving and check-in.
